about the book club

For better or for worse, the world is flush with self-help, pop-psychology books.

In our online, monthly book club meetings, we choose some of the best-sellers to discuss with you live via Zoom. Discussions are facilitated by licensed therapists and limited to 10 members per meeting, in order to cultivate discussion.

Note: This is a book club, not therapy! We take the content very seriously but ourselves not so much. The environment will be earnest but informal and probably irreverent at times.

If you’re looking for an academic review of your favorite self-help books, this is probably not the club for you. If you’d like to spend time with others who want to learn and grow, you’ll fit right in.

We meet online via Zoom. Meetings last for 75 minutes and the fee is $25. Reservations are required to attend and are non-refundable.

about your facilitators

michelle o’brien

Michelle is a Professional Counselor, Coach, a life-long avid reader, and an appreciator of life. For that, she credits Oprah, self-help books, and therapy. Possibly in that order.

molly hurt

Molly began a career in counseling after realizing she was spending much of her free time listening to therapy podcasts and audiobooks for fun. She's read 75% of dozens of self-help books. Here for the meaningful insights and practical solutions; not reading for the fluff!
